What is a home maintenance contract?
A modern home is incredibly complex. A home maintenance contract services and maintains all the different systems which make up your house. Our focus is on making sure they are doing their intended job while also extending their life.
Why should I have a home maintenance contract?
A home maintenance contract is useful because it addresses the ongoing problems which occur as a home ages. Weather, sun, and wear and tear take a toll on your house. A maintenance contract mitigates these effects while also preventing the larger problems that develop should they be ignored.
How is Home Wizardry different from a handyman?
Hiring a handyman to perform tasks on an as needed basis can be difficult. Quality of work is often substandard and reliability is questionable. With Home Wizardry we have pre-set maintenance windows so we will show up then without any action required from you. Our services are also aimed at preventing problems rather than just fixing them once they have become apparent.
Will Home Wizardry fix problems outside of the ones included in the service package?
Each service contract includes hours which can be used for handyman tasks outside the standard services. So, if you need that new TV wall mounted or the replacement towel rack installed, we can do that during our next scheduled visit. If you need something done before our next visit, we can send one of our Wizards but there may be additional charges.
Can I call Home Wizardry for specific tasks even though I am not a service contract customer?
We only work with our service contract customers. That helps us keep the quality of service high and keeps our Wizards available for customers when demand is high (like after a hurricane.)
When are services performed?
When you hire us we set up a consistent time and date when service will be performed. For example, if we are coming every other week, we will set up a recurring appointment like Tuesday between 9AM and 12PM. If there is a problem with a specific scheduled appointment, we can reschedule.
How do you charge for services?
Services are an annual contract but we bill quarterly. You can cancel at any time and we will just complete service through the end of the quarter.
What if I need emergency service?
We can help with many emergencies but for certain problems, we may recommend you use a dedicated professional. For example, if your AC breaks, we may recommend a licensed HVAC professional instead.
Do I need to be home for a service visit?
That depends on the service being provided. If we need access to the interior for a visit, it will be indicated when we set up your maintenance schedule.

Is Home Wizardry insured?
Yes, we are fully insured for all liability issues and are happy to provide you with a certificate of insurance.
